What is Nine Mirrors?
A consultation tool for salons and barbershops. You take one photo of your client, fill in a short brief, and it renders nine hairstyle previews on the client's own face — ranked for their face shape, texture, and how much upkeep they'll really do. You review the nine together in the chair, then text the client a link to compare at home and book.
How realistic are the previews?
They're a guide to shape, length, and colour on this particular face — good enough to make a confident decision, and honest enough that we call them previews, not photographs. The client's face is preserved exactly; the hair is rendered. What a style finally looks like still depends on the head of hair in your chair, which is why the last word belongs to the professional holding the scissors.
What photo works best?
Front-facing, hair tucked back off the face, even light, no hat. The renderer can only keep what it can see — a three-quarter shot in shadow gives you nine unusable tiles. Add the optional side-view photo and every look renders in profile too, which is where fades, tapers and hairlines actually show.
Does it do men's styles and fades?
Yes. At the top of the brief, choose Women's, Men's, or Everything. Men's pulls from fades, crops, quiffs, slick-backs and more; styles that read either way — shags, crops, colour — appear in every set.
What's the Man weave / unit mode?
An express consultation for hair-replacement units. It skips the whole questionnaire: add the photo and the board fills with nine different unit installs — waves, curls, twists, locs, braids, and more — each rendered with the hairline rebuilt and full density on top. There's also a gallery of real installs (faces blurred) so clients know what they're choosing between.
My client is thinning on top — can it show them with hair restored?
Yes. Tick "Thinning or bald on top — restore the hairline" in the brief. Every preview then renders full coverage with a naturally rebuilt hairline, and hair units join the recommendations.
How long does a consultation take?
About ninety seconds from photo to a full board. Tiles appear one at a time as they finish, so you and the client start reacting to the first looks while the rest render.
A tile failed or looks wrong — what do I do?
Every tile has its own Retry, and retrying one tile never touches the other eight. If a style just isn't right, use the swap menu on the tile to switch it for any other style in the catalogue before or after generating.
Do my clients need an account?
Never. You text them a private link. They compare the looks, tap their favourite, pick a time window that suits them, and you see their choice on your board before they walk back in. The link expires with the consultation.
What happens to client photos?
They're stored privately, stripped of phone metadata (including GPS location) on upload, never published at a public URL, never used to train AI models, and deleted automatically after the retention window — 30 days by default. You can delete any consultation immediately, which deletes its photos with it. Full detail in the Privacy Policy.
What does it cost?
Plans are priced per chair, not per photo — see Pricing. Every account starts with 20 free previews and no card on file, so you can run real consultations before paying anything. Unused previews roll over one month.
How do I cancel, and can I get a refund?
Cancel anytime; you keep access until the end of the billing period, and there are no cancellation fees. Refund rules are short and plain — read the Refund Policy.
